Telegram is a second way to reach your assistants: short messages from your phone, with plain-text replies and Approve and Reject buttons in the chat. It suits quick questions, nudges, and approvals on the go rather than long work.
In Telegram, use Telegram's own app-creation flow to make a new app for your assistants, and copy the token it gives you.
Find your numeric Telegram user id, so only you can message your assistants.
Pick a secret word for the connection. Telegram sends it with every message, so nobody else can post to your assistants.
Give your StellarFirm setup a public https address that Telegram can reach.
Today these are set in the configuration of a self-hosted StellarFirm setup, not from the app. When Telegram opens, you will connect it under Integrations.
Telegram tokens have no scopes to pick. The token lets your StellarFirm workspace:
Receive messages sent to the app.
Send replies from it.
Only the user ids you list are answered. A message from anyone else is ignored. In a group, the app answers only when you mention it, use one of its commands, or reply to it.
Approve in the chat. When work needs you, the request arrives with Approve and Reject buttons. Only the person who asked can press them, and the first press wins. You can also reply approve or reject when one request is waiting, or use the Approvals page.
Replies are plain text, with no formatting or attachments.
Routines and hand-offs between assistants are not started from Telegram.
Your token stays in your StellarFirm setup and is never shown back to you. The page shows only that it is connected.
Treat the token like a password. If it leaks, create a new one in Telegram and paste it again.
