# Mixpanel

> Let the Product owner run read-only Mixpanel queries and read dashboards, cohorts, metrics, and experiments. Coming soon.

Mixpanel is a product analytics tool. Once you connect it, the Product owner can check how a feature is used, how a funnel converts, and whether an experiment moved a metric, before deciding what goes on the backlog.

## What assistants can do

Mixpanel connects through Mixpanel's own hosted server.

## Setup (when it opens)

1. An organization admin turns on MCP in Mixpanel under **Settings**, **Org**, **Overview**.
2. Create a service account under **Organization Settings**, **Service Accounts**, with access to the project the assistants should read.
3. Open [Integrations](https://stellarfirm.ai/app/integrations) in StellarFirm and pick Mixpanel.
4. Paste the service account's secret and its username, switch on the live option, and press Connect.
5. If your project keeps its data in Europe or India, use that region's server address from Mixpanel's docs.

## Permissions

- The service account's role decides what the assistant can read. Give it access to one project only.
- Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing is changed from chat.
- Mixpanel allows a limited number of requests an hour, so ask focused questions.
